Biography
Jodi is the CEO & Founder of #movethedial, a global movement dedicated to advancing the participation and leadership of all women & girls in technology.
Jodi’s twenty year career spans consulting (BCG), marketing in tech (Workbrain) to leadership training & development (Scotiabank) to the practice of law (Torkin Manes) and legal business development & innovation strategy (Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt), to being the CEO of a non-profit in the tech space Peerscale (formerly AceTech Ontario). It is this wealth of experience and pioneering spirit fuelled by passion to advance the full talent pool in the new economy, that led Jodi to found #movethedial.
Since its inception 1.5 years ago, #movethedial has attracted leading advisors in the Canadian and US markets, engaged more than 10,000+ people across Canada and new markets in the US (SF, New York) through events and joining the movement, to Jodi’s vision for a more diverse and inclusive future tech community. Jodi was named by the WXN as one of Canada’s top 100 most powerful women in 2017 and was recognized by Adweek as one of Toronto’s brandstars in 2018 in recognition of her work.
#movethedial will host its first Global Summit in Toronto on November 7 2018.

Jodi is passionate about community building and improving the world she lives in. She currently serves on the SickKids Foundation Capital Campaign Cabinet to raise $1.3B to transform children’s health leading an innovative technology sector strategy called Tech4SickKids. She also serves on the advisory board of Rosenzweig & Company, Maple Corporation and Mediseen and Mayor of Toronto John Tory’s Toronto Innovation Council & his campaign support team of executives.
Jodi is a passionate public speaker, known for delivering inspiring keynotes that inspire action. She has spoken to audiences at leading companies including Google, Wealthsimple, Figure 1, Hubba, TD Bank, the Royal Bank of Canada, CIBC, the Legal Marketing Association (Dallas), Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, Cassels Brock LLP and has upcoming keynotes booked at customer conferences for companies including Opentext and others to be announced.
